The Rewear Research Hub

A public home for what we learn—and how we know it.

Rewear is building technology around a deeply personal space: the wardrobe. Our Research Hub will make the thinking behind that technology easier to inspect, question and improve.

Why we are building it

Better wardrobe technology needs better evidence.

Fashion and sustainability products often turn limited inputs into very confident claims. We want Rewear to take a different route. The Research Hub will document what we measure, where information comes from, what is observed versus self-reported, and where uncertainty remains.

It will also give our research team a place to publish what testers teach us about confidence, cost-per-wear, repeat use, garment care and the everyday decisions that shape wardrobe utilisation.

01 · Wardrobe behaviour

What people actually use.

Anonymised patterns around repeat wears, wardrobe rotation, underused pieces and the moments when people struggle to get dressed.

02 · Product learning

What testers teach us.

Research notes from interviews, surveys and MVP testing—shared as learning, not dressed up as certainty.

03 · Methodology

How each metric works.

Plain-language definitions for cost-per-wear, utilisation and lifecycle signals, including the inputs and limitations behind them.

04 · Field perspectives

Wardrobes in context.

Writing on identity, confidence, culture, local design and circular fashion from Cape Town and the communities helping us build.

Our research standards

Data over guilt also means honesty over theatre.

Help us build the evidence.

Private beta testers help us learn which wardrobe signals are genuinely useful—and which ones need to change.
